The Art of Gene Expression is inspired by a recent biological technology called DNA microarray, which enable measuring genome-wide gene activities. This type of high-throughput measurement techniques have revolutionized the field of molecular biology, by affordably and rapidly experiment and understand how genes are responding and causing complex phenotypes and diseases. Created with Ashwin Kulothungun, this 3D animation moves through various experimental and computational steps in the state-of-art genomic study, from hybridization and data extraction to clustering and network analysis.
